Preparing teachers who transform reality
The Complementary Teacher Education Program deepens the knowledge and professional capacities required for teaching in early childhood, preschool, and primary education. The program integrates pedagogy, practicum, research, and human development within the normalista identity.
Educational purpose
The program seeks to prepare committed, critical, and autonomous teachers who can understand their context, act professionally, and contribute to improving the quality of life of urban and rural educational communities.
Pedagogical Research Practicum
Pedagogical practice is understood as a dynamic process of action, reflection, inquiry, experimentation, and creation. Teachers in training progress through observation, classroom support, and intervention in early childhood, preschool, and urban and rural primary education.
Research and degree project
Formative research connects research lines, curriculum, and classroom innovation. The degree project is the research project developed during the training process, and its public defense is required to obtain the Normalista Superior qualification.
Assessment and promotion
Promotion in the PFC is semester-based. To move to the next semester, students must pass all subjects with a minimum grade of 3.0 and obtain at least 4.0 in the Pedagogical Research Practicum.
Regulatory framework
The PFC operates within the regulations governing Escuelas Normales Superiores and the institution’s current official documents.
